Greg has worked with Montpelier Construction since 2001 and became a partner
in 2006. He comes from a long line of creative craftsmen and women; his grandfather
and father were architects, his mother an interior designer, and his grandmother
a seamstress, bookbinder, and hat maker.
As a kid he had a knack for taking things apart and putting them back together. Now a master carpenter, he can do this in his head. "I do this [carpentry] because I like it, and I can't not think it. I see levels in my sleep."
Greg found his niche in high school when he discovered that it wasn't the artwork that interested him but what the artwork was displayed on. His first venture into design and building was a three-sectioned wall to display artwork.
He continued working in the building trades through high school and spent the next eleven years doing commercial finish, smaller scale woodworking and full-service residential work.
Greg's respect for the environment, love of the outdoors, and health conscious lifestyle influence his building goals. He wants to see housing that works with the environment, is long-lasting and low maintenance. Although he describes himself as the "guy who does it all" from frame to finish, plumbing, electric, and roofing, he specializes in exterior and interior doors.
A transplant from NYC, Greg lives in Worcester with partner Mercy and dog Padlock.
